Adonis Autism Assistance Foundation
Grants for lessons in the arts, sports,and other activities in communities throughout Southwest Florida. Applicant must be age 16 or older who has autism, lives in Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Henry or Glades counties in Florida.
Kids for Camp is accepting late applications and has financial aid assistance available as well.
The Butterfly Fund
Facilitated by the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children to provide direct financial assistance to needy families of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors for items not covered by other means. Covered Hospitals are Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Orlando University of Florida Health Shands Hospital, Gainesville
Provide assistance to families who are living in Southwest Florida and have a child with Cancer.
Children's Dream Fund
The Children's Dream Fund was founded in 1981 with the single purpose of fulfilling dreams for children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Referrals are received from several hospitals on Florida's west coast.
Destiny Diaper Bank
Distributes diapers to "Special Needs" & "Medical Challenged" infants & children under 4 years of age on Medicaid with a health care provider prescription.
Different Needz Foundation
Awards grants to developmentally disabled individuals and the organizations that support them for medical services and equipment. Must reside in the following states: California, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Wyoming.
Dreams Come True
Children between 2 1/2 and 18 with life threatening illnesses that live or are getting treatment in Northeast Florida or Southeast Georgia are eligible to apply for a dream.
Provides sensory friendly activities, support groups, referrals for therapeutic services, structured classes and other necessary resources to every family with a child diagnosed with autism.
Jacob's Touch Foundation
Provides financial care and assistance to families and organizations supporting children on the Autistic Spectrum in the Tampa Bay area.
Their vision is to alleviate the financial hardship of raising special needs children of all ages in Marion County, Florida by providing funding for alternative therapies and assistive technologies not covered by insurance.
Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida
Granting the wishes of children older than 2½ years and younger than 18 that are diagnosed with a critical illness, i.e., a progressive, degenerative or malignant condition that is placing the child's life in jeopardy.
The Marty Lyons Foundation
Provides "special wishes" for children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses. Children must be three through seventeen years old and reside in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
McKay Scholarship Program
Provides scholarships for eligible students with disabilities to attend an eligible public or private school of their choice.
New Hope for Kids
Support children and families grieving the death of a loved one and to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses in Central Florida.
Step Up For Students
A state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer five
scholarships for Florida schoolchildren.
Tom Coughlin Jay Foundation
Provides financial assistance for household expenses on a temporary basis for families who find themselves in financial difficulty as a result of their child’s cancer. Focus is children and young adults, ages 0-22 years old in North Florida – Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, or Union County.
Variety of Florida
Helps kids gain mobility, confidence, freedom, independence and the chance to join in the life of the community by providing funding for walkers, wheelchairs, specially designed adaptive bikes, strollers, prosthetic limbs and other devices to families with the most need.
