A Kid Again
Offers fun filled adventures, Parent’s Night Out, & Hospital visits for families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness “normal” again by helping them gain back moments of positive, family-shared experiences and memories.
Adam Taliaferro Foundation
Provides emotional, financial and educational support to individuals who suffer catastrophic head or spinal injuries.
Angel Flight East
Provide free air transportation to qualified patients and their families by arranging flights to distant medical facilities, delivering supplies to disaster areas, and reuniting families during desperate times. Provides transportation in the Northeastern region of the United States for distances up to 1,000 miles. The minimum distance AFE travels is 100 miles.
Angel Flight NE
Coordinates free air transportation through volunteer private pilots for patients whose financial resources would not otherwise enable them to receive treatment or diagnosis, or who may live in rural areas without access to commercial airlines.
Ashley Lauren Foundation
Mission is to provide hope and help to children in NJ with cancer through financial, material, and emotional support. Its programs include Birthday Brigade, Making Dreams Come True, and hospital parties, among others.
Best Day Foundation
Provides children and young adults with special needs the opportunity to build confidence and self-esteem through FREE adventure activities, including surfing, body boarding, kayaking and more.
Bringing Hope Home
Pay household bills to ensure our families are able to stay in their homes, with a roof over their heads, utilities on, phones working, and food on the table while they are dealing with cancer. Families must be living in Northern NJ, being treated at Hackensack Medical Center or other partnering facility.
Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund
Financial assistance program for New Jersey Families whose children have an illness or condition otherwise uncovered by insurance, State or Federal programs, or other source, such as fundraising.
Dream Come True fulfills the dreams of children who are seriously, chronically or terminally ill and reside in the Jersey Shore area. The children are between the ages of 3 and 18 years old.
Embrace Kids Foundation
Embrace Kids Foundation exists to lighten the burden and improve the quality of life for children with cancer, sickle cell and other serious disorders in the New Jersey/New York City metropolitan area.
Emmanuel Cancer Foundation
Provides families with children who have a cancer diagnosis a place to turn for comfort and relief through free, supportive services, uniquely tailored to meet the needs of each family. Also provides material support such as food, clothing, toys, household items, birthday and holiday gifts, as well as emergency financial assistance for urgent needs.
For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation
Provide transformative respite experiences to cancer patients (ages 21-55), their caregivers and their children.
Provides financial relief to hard-working families who find themselves in a crisis due to the costs associated with caring for a seriously ill, injured, or disabled child.
Friends of Karen
Friends of Karen serves families with a child from birth to 21 years of age who is diagnosed with cancer or any life-threatening illness, who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, and who lives in the New York metropolitan area, including Northern New Jersey counties: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union.
Provide FREE, life-changing therapeutic, educational, and career training programs for individuals with Down syndrome.
Happiness is Camping
A free camp for children with cancer and their siblings, ages 6-16 located in Hardwick, New Jersey.
Helpful Hands Special Needs Fund
The Northeast Regional Early Intervention Collaborative provides assistance to families of infants and toddlers with disabilities under age 3 impacted by the high costs of supports/services not covered through Part C, medical insurance, MEDICAID and/or other private or public funding sources.The Carolyn Scaglione Special Needs Fund assists families in Bergen, Hudson or Passaic Counties.
IM Able Foundation
Grants are awarded to individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral challenges residing in the Mid-Atlantic region, providing adaptive sports gear and group fitness programs.
"J" Foundation Inc.
Provides direct help to families struggling with a child's life-limiting illness.
Jason's Dreams for Kids
Jason's Dreams for Kids is devoted to granting wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses in New Jersey only.
Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund
The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund helps families caring for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and injuries. We provide financial assistance for needs not covered by insurance, respite programs, and non-cash items to families in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware; we advocate for and provide education and information to families nationwide.
Marty Lyons Foundation
The Marty Lyons Foundation, Inc. (MLF) is a not for profit organization providing “special wishes” for children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses. Applications will be accepted only for children chronologically aged three (3) through seventeen (17) years. Children must also reside or receiving medical treatment within the Foundation’s designated geographic locations: Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
Working with liaisons at Monmouth Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, CentraState Medical Center, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Michael’s Feat connects families caring for ill infants with with the services or items they need in their time of duress.
The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund
The target population is children and young adults, ages 0-22 years old, currently undergoing treatment or up to 6 months following treatment.The child must be a permanent resident of one of the following:Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Passaic, or Union County.
Tomorrows Children's Fund
Believes the last thing a family should worry about when a child is diagnosed with cancer or a serious blood disorder is money.
Traumatic Brain Injury Fund
Provides New Jersey residents of any age, who have survived a traumatic brain injury, the opportunity to access the brain injury related services and supports they need to live in the community.
